We have been waiting for this wedding day for quite some time. We first met Nick and Brandi last year where we fell in love with them at the consultation and then a few months later we did their engagement session. I am telling you these two are so sweet and so funny. They are so much fun to just be around. They truly bring out the best in each other.
After the engagement session we seriously counted down the days till their wedding. We knew it would be a gorgeous event that we would never forget. This is our second time working with the Addler’s at the Barn at Shady Lane. Once again it did not disappoint. The venue is perfect, there are so many places to shoot and it is always such a cute place. We always look forward to weddings we have here.
We are not the only ones either, Nick- everyday since the engagement has been regularly posting photos and counting down to their wedding. I loved waking to see a new photo that he had shared of them as he bragged on how lucky he is to have Brandi and how much he was looking forward to being a family.
Brandi’s dress took our breath away, we only thought it was pretty when it was hanging up until we saw her in it. THIS. GOWN. IS. INCREDIBLE. To say that Brandi looked like a princess is a true understatement. She completely rocked her wedding dress and it was so much fun to photograph. It really looked like it was created just for her. My absolute favorite shot is where she is putting her (adorable) shoes on and the gown’s ruffles are cascading out of that antique gold chair. (SWOON)
The first look for these two was so precious! As you can see from the photos below, We thought we might have to help Nick up off the ground! He nearly hit his knees when he first laid eyes on his beautiful bride. It was the sweetest! one of our favorite first looks to date! They are so good at couple photos, I completely contribute this to the fact they are so comfortable around each other. They are exactly what you see. Two people totally committed to each other and completely in love.
Nick warned us that the reception would be kind of crazy and that we better prepare ourselves because we might not see anything like it again. Now, normally when someone tells us this we get skeptical because we know most Alabama weddings have a lot of slow dancing but very rarely do we see guest really cut loose. Little did we know that most of Nicks and Brandi’s friends are dancers! Real dancers! Some even world champions. It was really fun to watch!
We don’t just think of these two as clients we also think of them as friends. We know that wonderful things are in store for this new family and we can’t wait to see what they are. Please enjoy these photos from this beautiful day!
